It's not much to look at but great progress is being made since last we reported. Drywall is all hung and taped. The floor is in the process of having the old tile adhesive removed - that's the floor sander. Next week the new front doors are scheduled to be installed and the painter will be in to start. The existing ceiling grid is in great shape and the new ceiling tiles will be arriving shortly.
The top picture shows where the new rear glass door will be installed (that's it with the wood). This door will open into the fenced-in area at the rear of the store. This outdoor area will be used for storing bags of mulch and top soil and the propane exchange tanks. We are also planning on stocking large cement planters, benches, ornaments and other "outdoor decor" items.
The step ladder you see in the top pic is leaning against the wall that will hold over 800 custom picture frame samples. That's right! We will be offering custom framing for our customers convenience. This is actually the same area that Michael's had it located when they occupied this space. I have already hired a framing expert to help guide us into this new department.

We are proud to Announce....
As of today, July 31st , progress is moving at a quick pace. In four days the plumbers have cut the floor, roughed in the plumbing and re-cemented the floor. The electricians have removed all the old light fixtures and most of the old wiring and started to run new circuts and the carpenters have most of the walls roughed in. The floor tile and ceiling tile had been removed several weeks ago.
This first posting is dedicated to my friend and main supporter, Mike Anderson better know in Alexandria Virgina as Mango Mike. His ready support and "can-do" attitude has been a great inspiration. And certainly to my wife Debbie who has been amazingly calm throughout the last three "tumultuous" years
